🌿 Taste Chodsko Experience 🌿
Intimate Nature Walk Around Ponds with Local Cake and Wooden Ferry.
👣 You are warmly invited to join a gentle walk through the beautiful Chodsko countryside.
We’ll start with a walk to the Teplá Bystřice water channel and follow parts of its peaceful course, occasionally stopping to take in the atmosphere. The trail then leads us to four charming ponds. Along the way, we’ll pause at two wooden shelters — including a beautiful one that feels like it’s from a fairy tale, where we’ll taste the traditional Chodský koláč 🍰 — a sweet symbol of regional craft, proudly recognized as a protected geographical indication (PGI) in the EU.
A ride on a hand-pulled wooden ferry across one of the ponds adds a touch of local charm before we visit the final shelter and make our way back to the starting point.
The route is 5.5 km long with a mild elevation of 62 m — perfect for adults and children aged 10 and up.

• Walk to and along parts of the Teplá Bystřice water channel
• Scenic trail passing by 4 ponds
• Stops at 2 wooden shelters, including a tasting of Chodský koláč at the fairy-tale shelter
• Wooden ferry ride across one of the ponds 🛶
• Slow, relaxed pace (about 2.5–3 hours)
• Intimate group limited to 8 participants
• Conducted in English — ideal for expats and kids 10+
• Takes place even in light rain — please bring weather-appropriate clothing
